The famous Iamsterdam letters on the Museumplein, will be removed early December.

In recent months, a considerable debate broke out about the logo, after it was proposed to remove the letters from the street scene in Amsterdam

In the end it was decided that the letters behind the Rijksmuseum should be removed, but in other places the logo may remain. On the Museumplein, the letters stood in the way and attracted unnecessarily many tourists.

In order to provide tourists who come to the Museumplein in to search for the letters, hosts will be deployed for the first three weeks after removal.
