Thinking back over the winter and this has to be one of my most memorable visuals.
Whilst known for their diverse geothermal colour palette and strange textural details, the form of these mountains is often overlooked.
When covered in white however, all that remains is their shape. A massive land mass of weaving peaks, carved by both glacial retreat and endless river flows. Winter stands as my favourite time to photograph for this reason.
It’s truly a beautiful sight.
